Data Mining Methods for Text Analysis
Kozák, Ondřej ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Dohnal, Přemysl (advisor)
This bachelor thesis explores the current methodology and possibilities of text mining and the subsequent application of some methods. The thesis described methods for preprocessing, methods for converting text to vector space and methods for text analysis and discusses their possible applications. The different preprocessing methods were applied to the text and then the conversion to vector space was demonstrated using simple methods such as BOW, Bag of n-grams, TF-IDF or with machine learning methods which are FastText and GloVe. LSA, LDA, TextRank and cosine similarity methods were applied to the extracted vectors to extract information from the text.
Firearm Type Identification in an Image
Čech, Ondřej ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Michal (advisor)
Main goal of this work is to design, implement and test an approach for classifying firearms in an image into categories with short and long fireams, and then with single shot, multi-barreled, repeating and semi-automatic/automatic firearms. This problem was solved using SVM classifier together with Harris corner detector, FREAK descriptor and Bag of Words method. Accuracy of final program is up to 13,3 %.
Technology of manufacture and treatment of medieval arrowhead
Kašpar, Jan ; Stránský, Karel (referee) ; Stránský, Karel (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis analyses issue of manufacture, typology and use of medieval arrowheads. In theoretical part describe historical evolution of bow and his archaeological discovery in Europe, especially from medieval times. After that is revealed historical evolution of arrowheads and describe their typology. In next chapters are mentioned ways of iron production, mainly in early medieval times and also describe technology of manufacture different types of arrowheads. There is a characterization of medieval arrow, his construction and characteristics. Continuously in this background research are revealing questions of penetration depend on the various types of arrowheads, which are testing on the most known types of armour like chainmail or breast plate. In experimental part of this paper are metallographicaly analyzing archaeological discoveries from the early and late medieval times. Conclusions about their manufacturing, treatment and possibilities of use are built on knowledge about arrowheads structures, hardness and shapes.
Modeling of Elastic Mechanisms
Slaný, Jan ; Keršner, Zbyněk (referee) ; Frantík, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with constructing and solving a discrete mechanical model from the point of view of dynamics. As an example of a real-world problem which can be approximated in this way, the dynamical behaviour of a bow and arrow during loose have been chosen. In order to solve this particular type of model, a specialized piece of software has been developed. This method and software have been deployed to simulate shooting a straight bow of specific parametres. Two variants for the shape of the bowstaff have been evaluated.
Localisation of Mobile Robot in the Environment
Němec, Lukáš ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Veľas, Martin (advisor)
This paper addresses the problem of mobile robot localization based on current 2D and 3D data and previous records. Focusing on practical loop detection in the trajectory of a robot. The objective of this work was to evaluate current methods of image processing and depth data for issues of localization in environment. This work uses Bag of Words for 2D data and environment of point cloud with Viewpoint Feature Histogram for 3D data. Designed system was implemented and evaluated.
Automatic Photography Categorization
Gajová, Veronika ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
Purpose of this thesis is to design and implement a tool for automatic categorization of photos. The proposed tool is based on the Bag of Words classification method and it is realized as a plug-in for the XnView image viewer. The plug-in is able to classify a selected group of photos into predefined image categories. Subsequent notation of image categories is written directly into IPTC metadata of the picture as a keyword.

Directional asymmetry of upper limb and back muscle activity during bow draw; implications for bioarcheology
Véle, Dominik ; Sládek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Galeta, Patrik (referee)
This theses explores muscle activity during bow draw. The goal of his study is to evaluate whether muscle activity corresponds with increase in mechanical robusticity of the left humerus found in mezolithic osteological material. Muscle activity is measured by the means of surface electromyography. We measure activity of arm and back muscles. Activity was measured on m. deltoideus, m. infraspinatus, m. biceps brachii, m. triceps brachii and m. latissimus dorsi. Muscle activity was measured on 20 male archers, during bow draw of three wooden long-bows. Results of this study support the idea that change in robusticity of the left humerus could be caused by frequent bow use in post-glacial Europe.
The Impact of Image Resolution on the Precision of Content-based Retrieval
Navrátil, Lukáš ; Lokoč, Jakub (advisor) ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis is focused on comparing methods for similarity image retrieval. Common techniques and testing sets are introduced. The testing sets are there to measure the accuracy of the searching systems based on similarity image retrieval. Measurements are done on those models which are implemented on the basis of presented techniques. These measurements examine their results depending on the input data, used components and parameters settings, especially the impact of image resolution on the retrieval precision is examined. These results are analysed and the models are compared. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
